Man’s place on an Earth and Earth and Space ScaleLeonid Djakhaia
The first orbital flights of man, landing of man on the Moon, automatic space stations on the planets within the Solar system and “Voyagers” traveling beyond the Solar system have formed (or an just formed) cosmic thinking of modern man. But this only involves strict high-level scientific elite, and so far educational institutions do not provide adequate cosmic level, particularly under widely propagated unscientific or even antiscientific views about the world and origin of man. In this reality, clarification and promotion of elementary knowledge of the surroundings and the place of man in the world are of great importance for a new pedagogy of the 21-st century.
