THE SERIES «STAR TREK»: INTERWEAVING SCIENCE FICTION and REALITY or THE POSSIBILITY OF SPACE TRAVEL

I.V. Vladlenova

Science fiction preceded by the degree of fantasy produced by scholars of ideas. Switch to high technology and corresponding technology offers endless possibilities for the implementation of the most fantastic ideas. Of course, not everything can be put into practice due to technical difficulties. But the changes on a global scale, the emerging planetary thinking helps to realize and the difficulties and possibilities of space travel. We must look for new ways to implement such travel. The fact that the sine qua non consequences of a prolonged stay in weightlessness are: muscle atrophy, aging musculoskeletal system, reducing the production of red blood cells, decreased immune response, the weakening of the cardiovascular activity, etc. and if you only use the available opportunities for space flight, the flight to Mars, which may last from several months to a year, will be at the limit of endurance of the human body. In turn, the long flight will require the participation of many generations of astronauts, so alternative methods of space flights, which were previously the prerogative of only a fiction, get their scientific foundation.
