Bazaluk Oleg. Corruption in Ukraine: Rulers’ Mentality and the Destiny of the Nation. Geophilosophy of Ukraine. Kyiv: ISPC, 2016.

Methodology of geophilosophy allowed the author to expand the understanding of Ukraine as the limitrophe State, through the territory of which runs the frontier of the confrontation between the two world cultures; explain the relationship between the totally corrupt Ukrainian authority and the geographic location of Ukraine. Based on open source information, the author has done five psychological portraits of the Presidents of Ukraine and their inner-circle members in order to show their role in the formation and consolidation of the corrupt mentality in the Ukrainians. The main thesis of the book - Piscis primum a capite foetet (translated from the Latin. The fish rots from the head). Prone to corruption the mentality of Ukrainian rulers and their Soviet nomenclatura past, to a large extent determined the course of history of Ukraine. Geophilosophy allowed the author to formulate the Ukrainian national idea: Ukraine - Keeper, and the Ukrainians - the guardians of peace and a thousand years old culture in the western part of the Eurasian continent, as well as major cultural markers of Ukrainian identity.
The book is intended for a wider range of readers interested in the issues of geopolitics, geophilisophy, national identity.
