The annual International Research Conference “The Days of Science of the Faculty of Philosophy – 2020,” April 27, 2020, Kyiv, Ukraine

On April 27, 2020, the annual International Research Conference “The Days of Science of the Faculty of Philosophy – 2020” was held and hosted by the Faculty of Philosophy at the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. The Conference has been co-organised by the International Society of Philosophy and Cosmology (ISPC) for the third year in a row. Amid the co-organisers there was also the Centre for Polish-Ukrainian studies at the University of Zielona Góra (Centre’s Director - professor Roman Sapeńko, Zielona Góra, Poland) and the University of Wrocław (Wrocław, Poland).

This year the Conference was held in a format of online meeting.

 

The greetings speeches were made by the Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Anatoliy Konversky; Vice-Rector for Science of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, professor Oksana Zhylinska; Vice-Rector for Science and Education of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Professor Volodymyr Bugrov; Vice-Rector of the University of Zielona Góra, professor Giogri Melikidze, Director of the Polish-Ukrainian Centre for Humanities studies, professor Roman Sapeńko (Poland), Professor of the Institute of Cultural Studies of the University of Wrocław Piotr Jakub Fereński.

The Conference was moderated by ICPS’s member, professor Sergii Rudenko.

 

The research reports were made by the heads of departments and leading scientists of the Faculty of Philosophy of the Taras Shevchenko National University, as well as scholars from the University of Wrocław (professor Piotr Fereński) and the University of Culture of Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam), professor Thuy Nguyen Thi Thu.

 

This year the Conference has more than 300 participants from more than 40 universities and research institutions, Ukraine, Poland, USA, Canada, Japan and Vietnam.

 

As part of the Conference on May 6, 2020, a special section (with the status of a conference) “Images of Europe and Asia in current cross-cultural practices” was held at the University of Zielona Góra (Zielona Góra, Poland). The special section was moderated by the Director of the Polish-Ukrainian Centre for Humanities Studies, professor Roman Sapeńko, and a member of the ICPS, professor Sergii Rudenko (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv).

 

Abstracts of the Conference have been published in a separate collection. The most topical reports have been published in the Future Human Image journal (ISPC), Ukrainian Policymaker (ISPC), Bulletin of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Public Administration (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv).
