"In December 2010 International Society for Philosophy and Cosmology (ISPC) at the Kyiv University of Tourism, Economics and Law has held the world’s first international scientific conference «Space travel: science, education and practice» with the first astronaut of independent Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine Leonid Kadenyuk and Deputy Director of the International Institute of Space Law, doctor of Law, professor Natalia Malysheva. During the conference, in communication with the initiative of Doctor of Philosophy, professor Oleg Bazaluk and director of library of Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky Pedagogical University named after G. S. Skovoroda Olga Shkira matured project promoting the theme of outer space especially among young people. This proposal was supported by Leonid Kadenyuk. Thus was born the project, which Olga Shkira gave poetic name – Space Ukraine.
Supported by the rector of Pereyaslav- Khmelnitsky Pedagogical University named after G. S. Skovoroda doctor of historical sciences, professor, academician NAPS of Ukraine, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine Viktor Kotsur this project it was decided to establish on earth of philosopher Skovoroda and national poet Taras Shevchenko. Pereyaslav land on which Taras Shevchenko wrote the famous poem «Testament », on which gave birth to the famous Jewish writer Sholom Aleichem, on which Bohdan Khmelnytsky signed convened fateful Pereyaslav Council, was the first place of space relay.
In a very short time efforts of Olga Shkira, library staff Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky Pedagogical University named after G. S. Skovoroda, representatives of cultural and educational organization «Pereyaslav Treasure» and the museum staff of Pereyaslav organized a meeting with youth the first astronaut of independent Ukraine, Hero of Ukraine Leonid Kadenyuk, honorary director of the National Historical and Ethnographical Reserve «Pereyaslav» Hero of Ukraine Mykhailo Sikorski and President of the International Society of Philosophy and Cosmology (ISPC) professor Oleg Bazaluk. Space Education has found its audience - the future teachers who will bear it in school, in youth. And this is the organization of continuity among generations.
In Pereyaslav land project «Cosmic Ukraine» came into its completed form. Finally crystallized its aim - to promote the theme of space among the youth and population. The next city that will relay the project «Cosmic Ukraine» will become a city of Kharkiv. There in Kharkov its planetarium director Galina Zheleznyak with her team of associates will make the second step forthcoming of outer space to people and people into outer space."
